Hello Fellow Bloggers,
I wanna talk about Black Friday. Whoever decided that we as a nation would celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday, giving thanks to what ever God or higher power you believe in, then go out that night and Friday morning for hit up all the sales to buy "STUFF". Stuff that we don't need. Yes, it is nice to have a Dynamic Edge LED backlit 3D HDTV and Playstation3 system, so you can see every blade of grass on the football field during your favorite NFL teams game, but is it really necessary? If you were as considered with making sure every child in american had a warm place to sleep at night as we are with having the biggest and the best our country might not be in the trouble it is in. We, as a nation, have gotten so greedy and infatuated with "STUFF", we have forgotten how to help eachother. I was at Walmart last night at about 10:30pm to get my dog some dogfood and I couldnt believe how people were acting. Walmart had bath towels for $1.33 each and the bin was going to be opened at 12:01am. People were fussing, had their little children with them, sitting in lawnchairs waiting for these towls. I thought to myself, "Man, these towels must be made of gold or something, for these people to act this way." I mean if you really think about it, we give thanks for all we have then go out and buy more crap that will just pile up and will not make you any happier. So next time you're wanting to go spend $20-$30 on a video game that you can actually see the sweat dripping down the player's face, give the money to the salvation army or someother kind of charity. You'll feel alot better and you wont be stuck infront a a screen for hours on end. That brings me to another issue: Obesity in America!!!
Parents wonder why hey are fat and why their children are. Lets take a moment to think about it.......Ok times up. Reason #1. the parents and children are eating fast food, fatty food, sweets, softdrinks, and other foods that are clogging arteries. Yes, Burger King is more convenient than spending 30 minutes in Food City buying food then another 30minutes cooking it. But think about this, if you spend that extra hour a days to cook for your family or for yourself, 1. its healthier, 2. Its fun, 3. you get to spend time with your kids, 4. You'll more than likely have leftovers so you can use that for lunch the next day. And save money. Reason #2. People are not active. Children that do not play sports or some kind of other activity are fat or over weight. And parents wonder why they kids cant focus on homework that's because they have all this surgary saturated food in their bodies and no to burn it off. So no they cant sit still, and no they cant focus on school work. But instead of the parent spending some of their time taking the kids to a sports practice or game they will have a DOCTOR give the kid medicine to calm the kid down. This is where ADD and ADHD comes in. If they children are made to work at home and do something afterschool or before school like basketball, softball, baseball, cheerleading, swimming, etc. the child is not going to have the extra energy to bounce off the walls all day at school and at home. You parents out there might be saying, "I have tried to get little Janey to play basketball but she just wont." Well, have you ever taken her to a park or gym and shot basketball with her? Probably not! Children look up to parents and will do as they see the parent doing. If the parent isnt active and sits infront of the TV or computer for hours at a time so will the kid.
Thats enough from me for tonight, ponder about this and leave me any thoughts. Good night :)
